Puppet Master

Come, Puppet Master,

come play with my strings,

for I was once spirited

had you not clipped my wings.

Come, Puppet Master,

come dance me along,

We once took the stage together

as we graced the love of our song.

Come, Puppet Master,

come devour my incapable mind,

becoming your shackled marionette

was only a matter of time.

Come, Puppet Master,

come handle me with care,

whisper sweet nothings to me

as if the audience isn’t there.

Come, Puppet Master,

come and my freedom should suffice

they ridicule and don’t understand

love is nothing but a sacrifice.

Come, Puppet Master,

come and do not let me go,

your bitter-sweet rituals

are all I’ve come to know.
